Sometimes a full rebuild isn’t what a website needs. Improvements to speed, layout, copy, calls to action and mobile experience can make a real difference to enquiries without starting from scratch.
We review your existing site and make targeted improvements, whether that’s tightening up the homepage, fixing a slow checkout or making it easier for visitors to find what they came for and get in touch.
When improving your website makes more sense than a new one
If your website is reasonably modern, you can update it yourself and it mostly does the job, a rebuild is often money you don’t need to spend. The problems holding it back are usually specific: a slow homepage, a contact form that’s hard to find on a phone, service pages that don’t explain what you do, or no clear reason to choose you over a competitor. Those can be fixed on the site you already have.
If the site is very old, can’t be edited, isn’t secure or doesn’t work on mobile at all, a new website design may be the better investment. We’ll tell you which one we think makes sense.
What we look at and improve
- Speed. Image sizes, caching, plugins and scripts that slow the site down, especially on mobile.
- Mobile experience. Buttons that are easy to tap, text that’s easy to read and forms that work on a phone.
- Calls to action. Making it obvious how to call, book, get a quote or buy, on every important page.
- Copy. Clear headings and wording that say what you do, where you do it and why someone should choose you.
- Service pages. Giving each main service its own proper page, which helps both visitors and SEO.
- Trust. Reviews, real photos, examples of your work and clear contact details.
- Technical issues. Broken links, missing redirects, duplicate page titles and anything stopping Google from indexing your pages. Our technical SEO service goes deeper on this.
- Checkout and forms for online shops and booking sites, where small changes can save a lot of lost sales.
How we work
- Review. We go through the site on desktop and mobile, check its speed and look at Google Search Console and analytics where you have them.
- Prioritise. You get a short list of the changes most likely to bring in more enquiries, in order.
- Improve. We make the changes, or work alongside whoever manages your site.
- Measure. With conversion tracking in place, you can see whether enquiries go up after the changes.

Frequently asked questions about website improvements
Can you improve a website someone else built?
Usually, yes. Most websites built on common platforms such as WordPress can be improved without starting again. We’ll check what you have first.
Will website improvements help my Google rankings?
They often do. Faster pages, clearer service pages and fixing technical problems all help. For ongoing ranking work, see our SEO services.
How long do website improvements take?
It depends on how much needs doing. Some fixes take a few hours, while bigger changes to layout or content take longer. You’ll know the scope before any work starts.
